VP of Information Technology

BROAD FUNCTION:

Direct and manage computing and information technology strategic plans, policies, programs and schedules for business and finance data processing, computer services, network communications, and management information services to accomplish corporate goals and objectives. This includes all call centers, order to cash, procure to pay, help desks, communication networks (voice and data), project management of multiple technical architecture projects, computer program development, and computer systems operations. Assist CEO to drive the organization with the philosophy that all technology systems are about boosting employee productivity and increasing customers and revenue.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Direct and manage computing and information technology projects and strategic plans, policies, programs, and schedules for business and finance data processing, computer services, network communications, and management information services to accomplish Company goals and objectives.

Direct the information and data integrity of the company and its business units.

Manage and direct the Company’s overall technical architecture

Develop strategic plans and implement the objectives of the information technology needs of the Company to ensure the computer capabilities are responsive to the needs of the company's growth and objectives.

Develop and establish operating policies and approaches for computing and information technology.

Evaluate overall operations of computing and information technology functions and recommend enhancements.

Prepare Company objectives and budgets to facilitate the orderly and efficient capture, storage, processing, and dissemination of information.

Interact with company managers on internal and external operations that are impacted by the capture, storage, processing and dissemination of information.

Review and approve major contracts for computing and information technology services and equipment.

Ensure the security of the information systems, communication lines, and equipment.

Oversee the development, design, and implementation of new applications and changes to existing computer systems and software packages.

Responsible for the development, review, and certification of all back-up and disaster recovery procedures and plans and identifying and assessing emerging information technologies to be assimilated, integrated, and introduced within the Company.

Assess new computing technologies to determine potential value for the Company.

Oversee ongoing improvements and the feasibility of system enhancements.

Establish company infrastructure to support and guide individual divisions/departments/sites in computing and information technology efforts.

Establish and implement short- and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and procedures.

Recruit, train, supervise and evaluate department staff.

Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION:

 

· BS Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science, Masters degree preferred

· A minimum of 10 years experience in a senior-level information technology position.

· MAS 500 experience preferred.

· Proven success of managing a technical architecture to include; ERP, Marketing database, replenishment planning & warehouse management systems, CRM tools, VOIP, phone systems, etc.

· MAS 500 experience preferred

· Experience integrating multiple companies

· Project management experience

 

JOB KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS:

Experience in strategic planning and execution. Knowledge of contracting, negotiating, and change management. Knowledge of information technology computer systems and software and the ability to manage the entire spectrum of information technology operations. Experience with implementation of information technology integrations in a large division/company.

Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects. Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings.

Demonstrated leadership and business acumen

Results oriented with a sense of urgency

Experience in change management

WORKING CONDITIONS:

1. Work performed primarily in an office environment with occasional exposure to warehouse and distribution areas.

2. Travel up to 25% may be required

3. Work may require occasional weekend and/or evening work
